May 1 - Prayer for Poles Abroad

Jasna Góra is a special place and a symbol of the faith of all Poles, including those living abroad. Especially for them and in unity with them on Sunday, May 1, preceding the Day of the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad (May 2), prayer at Jasna Góra will flow.

Holy Mass for the Polish diaspora of the world, broadcast on Telewizja Polonia, will be celebrated on Sunday, May 1 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Our Lady.

Father Waldemar Pastusiak cordially invites to participate in the Jasna Góra prayer for Poles living in different countries of the world. As he emphasizes, every day, through the media many Poles scattered around the world connect spiritually with their homeland, precisely in prayer from Jasna Góra. Fr Pastusiak expresses his gratitude to them for building a community of one heart and spirit and invites to the Jasna Góra Monastery to look the Queen of Poland straight in the eye.

Since 2002, May 2 - the Day of the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad is a public holiday. In this way, millions of people living outside our country, who for centuries strove for Polish independence, supported Poland in the most difficult moments of history and actively expressed their attachment to the Republic of Poland, were honored.
